Dr. Sheffler is a 1991 graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School, University of Maryland. After graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Baltimore, where he gained extensive surgical and restorative experience.
While in dental school, Dr. Sheffler was invited to join the Dominican Dental Project, a mission trip founded and led by his mentor. Dr. Sheffler led groups of dentists over four years to the remote areas of the Dominican Republic to deliver much-needed dental care.Dr. Sheffler’s dental passion has always been dental implants and dental lasers. Dr. Sheffler has been placing and restoring dental implants for over 30 years.
Dr. Sheffler is one of the innovators of the BLAST Protocol, a laser-assisted implant protocol. He’s also a Key Opinion Leader for dental laser and dental implant companies. He lectures internationally on dental implants, laser dentistry, digital dentistry and practice management.
Dr. Sheffler is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society, the International College of Oral Implantologists, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
Before relocating to New Hampshire with his family in 2008, Dr. Sheffler was a partner in two dental practices in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area of Southern Maryland. Dr. Sheffler and his wife, Johanna, live in the New London area, where she is a landscape designer. They have two grown daughters, a CICU nurse at DHMC, and a professional equestrian in FL. Dr. Sheffler welcomes new and existing patients to come see the newest and most amazing dental technology Caring Family Dentistry is known for.
Joe loves interacting with people and finding ways to help them, which he has done for over 25 years through high end sales and managerial positions as well as dental consulting for 4 years and counting. Joe is also a Mindfulness & Wellness teacher, writer and speaker, so he has a deep understanding of the psychology behind sales, customer service, employee management, as well as a firm grasp of the consumer’s perspective. Joe is an idea man and the Perio Profit Center is his brain child. After learning many marketing angles and successfully implementing them with Anthony Cannon and Ryan Parmelee in hundreds of offices across the United States and Canada, he saw the potential to offer a much more thorough and all-encompassing program in a more user friendly, efficient & convenient way.
Anthony Cannon is a marketing and sales guru. As a cofounder of multiple companies geared toward the advanced technology space with a focus in dental, medical, and energy conservation technologies he has specialized in marketing and consulting for the better part of the last 2 decades. For the last 10 years he has supported the dental and medical industry with a focus in advanced laser technology to treat periodontal disease and other medical morbidities. Anthony has helped hundreds of dental practices with clinical integration, educationally based marketing to the public, and staff training for clinicians with a Dental Laser. The Perio Profit Center is a distillation of these years of experience and thousands of hours of training for the sole purpose of creating a successful laser dentistry practice.
